Here are few questions you need to answer in choosing your motorcycle rain gear.

Will it help me remain dry and comfortable?

Definitely, the reason why you wear a rain gear is to remain dry. However, there are some stuff available in stores that cannot fully provide you with the promise of staying dry especially in steady rain. Before buying, check on the features of the gear to have a prior idea of what material it is made of. Rain coats with advanced waterproof technology made of nylon will work well to your advantage. Check on the inner and see if it has sealed seams that will prevent leaks. Zippers must be waterproof too. With convenient closures that will let you adjust the fit properly.

To remain comfortable ensure that your gear is not to fit to restrain your movements nor too loose to flap in strong wind. The collar should fit your neck well to seal out the rain and prevent it from falling to your back. The length? Well, the bottom of the jacket should fall below your waistline to keep the water and wind from blowing on your back. The pants on the other-hand must have a non-slip material that will hold you to the saddle even on a wet environment.

Will it help in keeping me safe?

Bad weather can put a rider's life at stake especially if the road is foggy and the driver behind you cannot easily spot your presence. Your rain gear should incorporate night vision reflective fabric in both front and back of the jacket and pants for safety purposes. Night vision reflective fabric has a color that can easily be seen even in a foggy road, this will prevent you from being hit at the back by a normal driver, and as well can be spotted easily by the driver before you.

Another advantage of wearing a protective motorcycle rain gear is yes, preventing you from catching a cold. If your gear leaks there is a huge possibility that you feel feel cold all through-out the ride, that may lead to fever or any related sickness.
